View Full Version : SA-MP 0.3x R1-2 client/server update (optional)

SA-MP 0.3x R1-2 update is available on the Download Page (http://www.sa-mp.com/download.php). This version corrects some minor problems in the original 0.3x release and is optional.

Client:

- Fixed: The server browser was using excessive CPU when loading the server lists, which slowed the loading of the lists.
- Fixed: If the nametag hourglass icon could not load, it may cause a crash when you alt-tab from the game.
- Fixed: Object lighting would be disabled when there were material changes but no colour changes.

Server:

- Clients would not see the "Unacceptable NickName" notice.

Please check back for any further updates to the SA-MP client/server.

why can't you just fix it in client/server code? There are many bugs and we are tired of making workarounds for every bug.

why can't you just fix it in client/server code? There are many bugs and we are tired of making workarounds for every bug.

It's not a bug. It's intended behaviour. Kick() will cancel all pending packets and ignore any further messages from the player.

This had to be done for security reasons.

0.3x... damn that load speed, 0.3x connecting to database, getting results, and loading everything take about 3times less time than 0.3e

This for min was a small problem ... more for when the player missed your password OnPlayerConnect ... he lost the connection in some cases .... other received the message and after receiving the kick ... But after the change in kick, kick it is very fast ... so not seeing the message.

Being the same pro Ban. Now I have to mecher in game mode completely to fix it .... thanks for the help! '-'

Car colours 128-255 have been replaced with some more exotic colours. Some colours in this range were previously usable, but most were the same colour. The entire colour set has been revamped.

And the carcols.dat is now totally useless in samp??

What was changed between the different installers of 0.3x-R1-2? When you first released 0.3x R1-2, I downloaded it, today I downloaded it again. why are the MD5's on the original 0.3x-R1-2 and the one I downloaded today different? why is the installer I downloaded today about 100 kb larger than the original installer?

but most of all, Why are you not documenting these changes? First with the frozen players not documented, and now this, what's the deal?

In the next version it would pe awesome if you could make access to "Respect +" dialog from singleplayer, you know, that thing that appears on left corner of the screen and shows "Respect +" and a loading bar whenever you complete a mission or something.(Not the textdraw in the center of the screen)

Lol, I think you misunderstood. I'm pretty sure that what the post means is that the bug was that the "unacceptable nickname" notice was not showing up and now they have fixed it so that it does show up.

The island by Deadspirit is not implemented in SA:MP, it's just an ordinary map, you can find it in the maps section.
Pawno is not created by the SA:MP team, and in the newer versions there are some major changes which will require all scripts to be converted, this pawno is perfect, it has only few bugs.

yeah what about them with bad internet connection?
they'll just wait for hours downloading the file and disconnect if it takes too long.

Why don't you make a KickEx() built in or something instead of using this idea as many newbie scripters wouldn't know what to do unless they read this thread or something.

fix for that:

set a timer before the kick and after the message, and boom, player gets the message, AND gets kicked

We need a stable version of SAMP. No lag like 0.3e.
I know you worked really hard, but all the servers where I go, I lag like hell now.

Is it because the host server? I have a good connection though.

there's a bug when a player gets a lot amount of gun bullets (by admin command), and usually this player can't change the weapon, if admin deletes his guns and he gets new guns, the same thing appens, to fix it the player must close game and relogin to game.. please fix it.

2nd bug (may be) is that a n00b with s0b**t cheat come on server and crash some players with a car...pls fix.

It would be nice if every computer will have an UNIQUE ID like STEAM ID, so if you ban someone BAN it with ID and not IP

No need for that,because bannick or ip is enough..I also hear that there's a function(on some plugin) that get's user computer ID(or something like that)...

Why "GetPlayerCameraFrontVector" updates so rarely? I understand, that it isn't an important thing and you don't want to overload user connection (or something etc.), but one update in one second - it's VERY rare for me) Please make it updates in every 100-200 ms!

Any chance to finally make the "%" symbol usable ? Everytime it shows as "#" and that bothers me,and not only me.Its not so important to fix this issue but many players find it annoying.

Good evening, I come to report a bug that is occurring in the sa-mp 'internet'
Servers list 'Brazilian' are getting fixed first "1st place" that is hurting all Brazilian servers.

When entering "BRAZIL" mode on the client servers are getting fixed first on the list. Happening que the other servers not have the chance to grow in sa-mp and have a successful server.

It is not an problem, you've to kick the player with timer to get them the message.

Also, the server owners who are still using 0.3x R1-2, please use 0.3x R2 as it is preventing the crashing programs.
