Re: [SampSharp (S#)] Bare | Barron | Grand Larceny | Rivershell

The very fact that you're asking this question really suggests that you should not be commenting on this thread.

Re: Removing the OnPlayerRequestClass Spawn button

My point was to replace the spectating function with SpawnPlayer(), and not use both of them in parallel.

Re: Removing the OnPlayerRequestClass Spawn button

Why are you using TogglePlayerSpectating? This isn't the purpose of this function. SpawnPlayer() would be more relevant here.

Re: SampSharp - Write gamemodes in .NET

I'm considering putting together a proposal for a community project for a SA-MP server with a gamemode coded in C# using vNext of this library (which supports .Net Core). Following the most up to...

Re: SampSharp - Write gamemodes in .NET

You couldn't even begin to compare C# with PAWN.

Re: SampSharp - Write gamemodes in .NET

Nice, I'm looking forward to this. The hot swapping of gamemodes in particular would be very useful to me.

Let me know if you need a hand with the testing :)

Re: SampSharp - Write gamemodes in .NET

Fixed it. Turns out I had different versions of mono in the directory of my env which must've been causing some cross referencing problems. Thanks for the help :)

Also, nice to see a stable...

Re: SampSharp - Write gamemodes in .NET

Thanks both for the help. LifeIsGood it may be worth you popping that in the Tutorials section!

The plugin is now loading for me - using mono 4.6 indeed done the trick.

I'm still having issues...

Re: SampSharp - Write gamemodes in .NET

Same issue afraid. It's frustrating that the SA-MP server doesn't output more detailed error logs.

I'm wondering if it's a problem with mono, I seen your comment here:...

Re: SampSharp - Write gamemodes in .NET

Forgive me if I've missed this elsewhere.

Has anyone experienced any problems with the plugin failing to load? Are there any additional prerequisites other than the ones listed in the...

Re: Minigames Server

Creating a decent and powerful missions style gamemode in SA-MP with it's current setup is very, very difficult to do.

I attempted this in 2013 because I was angry at how the current Mini-Missions...

Re: samp-observer.inc - Observe variables for changes

Nice work Slice as always, this is a game changer. This has given me an idea on how I can improve my debugging techniques!

Re: Tiny But Super Optimizations

Completely agree. This whole optimization thing is major overkill. I think it originated from Y_Less in that huge code optimazitions thread that was later proven redundant when it was benchmarked.

Re: Programing / Web design Language

I agree with this. I'd never touched any form of programming before having a play around with PAWN and running my own SA-MP server, later moving to become the lead developer in 2008 of what at the...

Re: I am wondering

Well you'd set them both to the same team ID in this instance using SetPlayerTeam - and use your own system for managing any other internal team related functionality.

Re: Streamer Plugin

Incognito, there seems to be a bug with race checkpoints (and normal checkpoints too I'm guessing) which caused OnPlayerEnterDynamicRaceCp to not be called.

Steps to replicate:

- Player is...

Re: What features would you like to see in a SA-MP CMS?

I think you're misunderstanding the purpose of a CMS.

A Content Management System is there to allow the end user of a website control content. Add new blog posts, amend images, change text, create...

Re: Vehicle System With MySQL

Hmm, okay yeah I suppose I can see your point about repeating data as it's less likely that a vehicle would have all 9 mod slots filled. However they wouldn't necessarily need to contain data or...

Re: Vehicle System With MySQL

Yes, these would be split off into a separate table, referencing the vehicle id as the foreign key because the number of attached objects is a dynamic amount.

Angry Re: Server Sided Wepons

Before you can even consider implementing a server-side weapon system, you need to compensate for weapons obtained from client-side events:
- Ammunation
- Certain vehicles - golf cart giving you a...

Re: Vehicle System With MySQL

It would be wrong to normalise a vehicle database table containing fields represented by vehicle modifications.

Patchwerk's post is correct: you do not need to split these off because the number...
