Yeah. I'm talking about the RAID controller, however. Such as this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16816118105

Yes, as am I....

I mean I assume it's used for hooking multiple hard drives into one partition so to speak (I'm hardware illiterate).

Oh! I always thought that it was pretty much possible through BIOS and the RAID controller was something for crazy setups...

I think I have enough information on the RAID controller now, thanks to some ****** search results that took awhile to review. I am looking at the following video card:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130683

I really don't want to spend over $300, would that be the best "bang-for-the-buck" or am I wasting my dough?

I have decided that it would be the best option for me to purchase a RAID controller card- this would allow me to have the card control the RAID instead of my motherboard. And if I recall correctly, having the card also allows for better RAID performance!

---

Anyways, I'm trying to decide on the best video card. This is the one I have in mind:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130683

I'm pretty sure that's the one for me, because it's better to have a single 2GB card than dual 1GB cards, supporting only a single more output- right? Anyways, could someone confirm with me so I know I'm getting the best bang-for-the-buck here...? Thanks!

I hope you're gonna choose for the RAID 0? - My friend ever wanted a fast hard drive and he was so stupid to buy a RAID 1, that's not quite faster, only more safe (eg. if one disc is damaged you'll still have data or something?). The RAID 0 is quite h*rny :P
Also, use sites such as http://www.videocardbenchmark.net
Looking on that site, I'd rather buy a GeForce GTX 580: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gp...rce+GTX+560+Ti

I was thinking about setting up two RAID's, if that's possible. One using RAID 0 and one using RAID 1.

As for that website, it doesn't really look all that promising. I see a bunch of charts, but they don't really show me anything...

I have a question, and after reading few articles on ****** about Virtualization Technology I still don't know something.

Does this help gaming also, or just for virtual machines only?

Also, another question, if I do an over-clock to the CPU, even though the cooler is cooling fine enough, what will happen?
