C is very weakly typed, and PAWN has no types. If you want strong typing look up Haskell. In C:

float b = 27;
int a = (int)b;
struct other_s * c = (struct other_s *)a;

There is almost no way to do that in Haskell (it CAN be done, but is very hard and requires explicitly unsafe low-level and non-portable functions). And in PAWN there are only tags that are just as easy to mess with.

As for syntax (what the code looks like) vs other things, anyone using PAWN should also know that there are no types (because all your variables are 32bit cells) and that there is no dynamic memory (because there isn't), so they could have been points of interest too.

I'm not really into functional languages and I don't find them useful, and yeah, my bad.
