Trends Micro + Kaspersky I like Trends more. It allows you to download stuff even if it is a virus.. As for Kaspersky it just automatically denies it.

My vote go for ESET Antivirus, but as you're talking about antivirus, you should remove 'ESET Smart Security', as it's a suite (include many other features as firewall, system inspector, system monitor, etc. and not only the antivirus (wich is exactly the same)).

What i understand from this thread, is that you guys are talking about high skilled hackers, and about high skilled users.
Maybe for you, an Anti-Virus is useless, but for 95 percent of the internet users, it's the only way to have their PC alive for more than 24 hours. I know people who succeded to have their computer full of virus, 2 times in a row, in a space of 48 hours. A woman of-course.. Just, if you are a new user, you don't know the dangers. So a good and paid anti virus will help you to block most of the simple virus that runs in the internet. That, you can't deny. P.S. Something that makes people think an Anti Virus is good, is when it rarely alerts you, but that's wrong. A good anti virus is never quiet for long. If it is, that's because it is not detecting a shit. (Well, for who usualy download unknown files.) |

But not what it must be like. It depends on the user as you said before and that's something I didn't deny at all. Of course it's good for a casual user to have an antivirus but for those more skilled users that would love to have their ressources for other stuff it's a butthurt. ^^ |
