This has been reported to me and on this forums many times.

This is a SA-MP issue for sure. Players with poor network performance sometimes lose connection, and most of them never seem to be able to reconnect. They either get "server didn't respond", "you are banned from this server" or "unacceptable nickname".

I had this problem back in the day. I fixed it by changing my server.exe permissions to run in windows 98 compatibility mode. Fixed the problem for everyone.

You lose connection with the server.

The server maintains for some seconds (~15 seconds) an empty connection with you. After 15 seconds, you get, in your server log, that you timed out. Your player slot now became empty.

If you return to the server within this timeout, another player is already on the server with your nickname and gives you this message. That other player is...you. Your previous session is still timing out.

And I can use your nickname and then just go AFK for some straight hours. I'll still be "online" on the server...
