Default Lags in online games

I've got a super fast internet with ping ~ 10 in CS GO but it's literally unplayable, just like most games. I don't have any problems with streaming videos in highest quality or downloading extremely large files so it's not related to the speed at all.

Any ideas what might be the cause?

If you are using wifi, you need a clap around the ears...

My PC is a freaking rocket. Localhost runs with ~1 - 2 ms too. However, I just realized it works well at night, so there must be something wrong with ISP.

Try using a VPN for gaming. I had a similar problem once, it was caused because of unbelievably high udp packet loss and i have fixed it by setting up a VPN server on my own vps (because public VPNs are trash, not even worth trying). After that, I could play, altough with a little higher ping (40-50ms)
Omg btw my raspberry pi has 3ms ping with itself. Is it a rocket pc? Can it run gta v? You dumb fag, ping has nothing to do with pc speed

I think what he implied was to get Ethernet cable...
Playing on WiFi will definitely put you at a disadvantage.

Even if you have god-tier WiFi the connection can easily become unstable if someone else is using the same wifi.

That's VERY false, I'm playing on my home network, approximately 3 ping in most CSGO (FaceIt and Valve) servers located in Germany, France and Sweden. Nor do I lag, while using WiFi, with others connected.

Probably big packet loss...If you are on wifi, what's the signal strength?
Also, localhost 14+ms Anything more then 1ms is bad, well since its not datacenter, 2ms can be tolerated but anything beyond that, its just insane... And i dont mean ping shown in game servers with overhead, i mean on ping command in terminal/console
