Except for the setup, the ftp access, the assistance when you screw up...

All of that is a completely different kettle of fish.

If you can maintain your VPS, then sure, don't pay those fees, but if you can't use SSH or even configure your machine correctly, then don't be thinking that someone who gets you setup via teamviewer, or skype, is going to cover you when your whole system collapses and you can't figure out why.

This is another reason why people need to think if they need to be hosted, or whether they are ABLE to start a server.

Once people see that you can't update things, you can't add anything without breaking other shit, you can't figure out why XXX isn't working, and you can't figure out why YYY can't connect to the server, they will piss off to ZZZ server as it's more 'stable', they can add what they want, and they know how it all really works.

I don't understand you want to make good server, but without paying anything, doesn't sound logical.

No.. If you own a community, you most likely have developers that already know Linux, that is not a reason to pay extra 100.

How did you assume they are not ripping people off? The resources required for a 1000 slot SA-MP server is NO where priced near 100, even a cheap $25 dedi from Nocix can beat the shared resources you get from a "game" server hosting company.

The illogical part is, paying extra 100 for shared resources that you can get much better with fifth the price.

I've been with Evolution Host for about 14 months and never had any issues. Nice to know that I have the support if I need it and also, that I can trust them to provide the service i pay for.

OP hasn't even responded as to how he knows that it is a DDoS...

dndperass is the only one who asked if he's approached his host.
