I have used both. So I would say xampp.

MySQL is just plain pain in the ar** if you are new to the SQL language,
i recommend that you start out with SQLite to learn how the SQL structure,
works, then step by step you learn MySQL.

MySQL is easy.

Did i say it is hard anywhere ? But for the people starting it is not easy no i completely disagree with you in this.

For me MySQL is hard.

Anyway where are the player account created?

I follow this tutorial

http://forum.sa-mp.com/showthread.php?t=159785&highlight=MySQL

Well i don't want to make this a big deal that is just my opinion.

OT: Romel wamp is a bit buggy for me i use Xampp it is great works everytime i want it to work.

EDIT: Romel the player account is created inside the a table you create in phpmyadmin.

EDIT2: and phpmyadmin can be accessed by using wamp or xampp and going to localhost/phpmyadmin.

Oh and the tutorial you are following explains how to set up tables automatically in your database,
you can also do that manually.

EDIT: as you can see under OnGameModeInit it has CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS which checks,
if the table exists or not if not it creates it.

I'm fairly confident in saying you probably just learned the basic SQL queries needed for a SA:MP server - INSERT and UPDATE, and possible DELETE. That's about 5% of what mySQL can do. It's much more complicated and complex.

Great resource for learning SQL: http://www.w3schools.com/sql/sql_intro.asp

Not sa-mp related but they have a nice feature where you can test queries.

+1 on the link

Ok, look up "MySQL essentials download" on ******. You will get the link to the mysql site somewhere which contains the download. The download is about 38 megs.

If you are running the server on your home pc it is easy to link the 2 as you can use "localhost" or "127.0.0.1" as the connection IP address and you will not have to worry about opening the database to the internet or anything like that as SAMP will do all the work on the pc.

Anyways, once installed you can use the root username and password you set during install (which are fine to use if you dont open the port for mysql to the internet (port 3306).

After this you will need to create databases and i would recommend getting some basic sql creation for this. (guide here to help with the code http://databases.about.com/od/sql/a/tables.htm).

So you will need to create the database (root username gets default access)

Then you need to create tables on the database

Then you need to start coding in sql for samp.

Done
