If you are on foot and you shoot a driver/passenger in a vehicle (and damaging him) OnPlayerWeaponShot will only be called with hittype = BULLET_HIT_TYPE_VEHICLE with the hitid = player's vehicleid....

We just got AddTexture. Custom map icons would be based only on some texture too. We can have now tons of colored pickups for houses (already got red/blue from the original game and yellow/orange(?)...

This isn't a nice workaround, especially on larger servers with tons of dialogs and all kinds of textdraws. It would be better to have the logic directly changed.

Yeah, but most of those you are talking about are mostly unexpected features of the GTA SA engine that definitely look bugged. You can't do anything with most of those unexpected edge cases.

No, that's v2.9.1 compiled. The latest public build is v2.9.2. (no fix for OnPlayerGiveDamageDynamicActor in this version, it will be available in the next version which will probably be v2.9.3)

Not necessary a bug, but it is a problem with the logic:

Using SelectTextDraw and then ShowPlayerDialog (well, the order doesn't matter, same effect) has a problem: if pressing ESC (cancelling)...
