Re: A Masterlist/Internet List Alternative - Open Source and available for all to use!

A launcher like this? (It's literally being renamed "Community SA:MP Launcher"!) https://github.com/BigETI/SAMPLauncherNET

I have considered doing banners but it's a little out of scope for this...

Re: PAWN Syntax and Compiler for Visual Studio Code

See this:

It seems this thread's original post is confusing people.

I keep this one up to date so you shouldn't have any problems: http://forum.sa-mp.com/showpost.php?p=4012339

Re: SA-MP Object Sharing Website - samp-objects.com

Momentary outage.

I forgot this site existed...

Anyway, it's back up now, but I don't think many people use it.

Re: A Small-C question, probably.

Pawn does not have dynamic types. Pawn is the least dynamic language in existence!

There is no conversion happening, because Pawn is rather low-level in the sense that "Float" is literally just an...

Re: weapon config include

Pawno hasn't had an update for a decade...

It's the libraries you need to update, not the editor. The include files (.inc), open up the files and actually check the declaration for the function to...

Re: Modular gamemode includes

You can use .jpeg extension, it makes no difference, it's just an arbitrary file name.

Re: weapon config include

Look at the actual lines of code the errors point to. The first one is:

OnPlayerGiveDamage(playerid, damagedid, Float:amount, weaponid, bodypart)

This looks fine, matches the wiki:...

https://github.com/Southclaws/ScavengeSurvive this ran for a few years and saw a decent number of contributions. The nice thing about running an OSS gamemode is even once I didn't have time to manage...

Re: Chrono - Modern Plugin for Working With Dates and Times

Ah, this is because this line (https://github.com/Southclaws/pawn-chrono/blob/master/chrono.inc#L76) is a long comment, the old compiler is so bad it can't even deal with long comments.

Upgrade to...

Re: Chrono - Modern Plugin for Working With Dates and Times

You've confused plugin binaries (.dll and .so files) with Pawn language source files. These two have absolutely no effect on each other.

Plugin binaries are only read at run time - aka, when you...

Re: Little coding questions - For general minor queries 5

Constants are generally preferred over definitions: `const something = 5;`. They provide an actual name for the value so any warnings or errors will provide more information at compile time....

Re: sampctl: The Swiss Army Knife of SA:MP - vital tools for any server owner or library maintainer

Good to hear!

Those warnings are const correctness warnings which are pointing out potential bugs in code, more information: https://github.com/pawn-lang/compiler/wiki/What's-new#const-correctness...

Re: sampctl: The Swiss Army Knife of SA:MP - vital tools for any server owner or library maintainer

You need to enclose all the arguments in ' characters, for example, this:

-d3 -;+ -(+ -\+ -Z+

should be

'-d3' '-;+' '-(+' '-\+' '-Z+'

Re: sampctl: The Swiss Army Knife of SA:MP - vital tools for any server owner or library maintainer

Hi, apologies for the late reply!

I've been seeing this problem reported recently, I have no idea it's only coming up recently but it is. And I have no idea what the cause is. Missing libraries...

Re: How To: Cooldowns

PVars are unrelated to the core concepts this tutorial discusses.

I generally advise to avoid PVars completely and use something faster and more flexible like pawn-map or PawnPlus. PVars are...

Re: Little coding questions - For general minor queries 5

I believe that's only valid during initialisation and as arguments to functions.

Re: Help with float

Your bad indentation is hiding what the code is actually doing:

if(!fexist(path)) continue;

This will skip the entire loop then the block below will run regardless. But the way you've used...

Re: OnPlayerGiveDamage : error 025: function heading differs from prototype

The easiest way to debug things like this is to simply do a build with the -l flag. This flag runs only the pre-compile stage which resolves all preprocessor directives such as #include and #define....

How To: Cooldowns

How To: Cooldowns (Without SetTimer)

I felt this old tutorial I wrote in 2012 needed a bit of an update, so I rewrote it. Most of it still holds up but Iíve introduced gettime() as an alternative...

Re: sampctl: The Swiss Army Knife of SA:MP - vital tools for any server owner or library maintainer

Use `--verbose` to see that output.

That error is related to your permissions, sampctl doesn't have permission to create a symlink.

If you're working on a gamemode, set `local` to true so it...

Re: sampctl: The Swiss Army Knife of SA:MP - vital tools for any server owner or library maintainer

server commands are deprecated, package is what you want (my fault for communicating this badly, read this: https://github.com/Southclaws/sampctl/wiki/samp.json-To-pawn.json)

Server init was just...

Re: sampctl: The Swiss Army Knife of SA:MP - vital tools for any server owner or library maintainer

That all looks fine it says the build was successful, is the .amx created?

The debug output is visible while running with `--verbose`.

I've also completely removed pawn-natives (aka...
