Re: Epic Stunt

Nice stunts! A bit overedited to my taste, but I like it.

Re: Is it still worth it?

To (vaguely) answer the topic title: it depends on what you want.

I started writing from scratch last year, and for me it's worth it because I simply enjoy doing it and SA is still one of my...

Re: strlen and isnull

Interesting, was just about to open a topic about the origins of isnull when I found this.
So basically when one does CallRemoteFunction("myfunc", "s", ""), the native code will invoke myfunc but...

Re: mIRC scripts release

IRC will never die since it's just a protocol. At any point in time someone can implement it and use IRC (or nowadays just download any of the many implementations available).
Discord will die. It's...

Re: Unable to save screenshot

This happened to me when I have 1000 screenshots (up to sa-mp-999.png), if that's the case for you aswell, try moving them somewhere else so it can start from 0 again.

Re: [INC] strlib v1.3 - Simple string modification (Update: 21/10/09)

That's just how strings work in PAWN, if you use %s as format specifier it will insert data until the end of the string is reached (the null terminator), so you end up with 23.
It probably works...

Re: Some advice for an "old school" PHP-MySQL dev wanting to go on with new web stuff.

There's nothing wrong with the 2005 way.
Actually in my opinion the 'new', 'modern' way is often more bulky, slow and ugly than the good old php-with-mysql solution (and it is not friendly to older...

Re: Anyone have some feedback? (C code)

The problem is that nc is only incremented, and doesn't go down. As result this condition will always evaluate to true and always place tabs.
But I see you've updated your code so this is not...

Re: Anyone have some feedback? (C code)

Does it also works for whitespace that's not at the beginning of a line?

Like if you have

abcd efg

I think the 4 spaced should be replaced by a tab when tabsize is 8 or 4 (or 2 tabs when...

Re: documented default sa-mp includes

I was thinking about fixing things like that in the files, but then thought I should just leave it alone.

Sure!

for the 6 people that actually document their code

Some of you may know you can write documentation in your PAWN code and the compiler can generate a report for you. See [Tutorial] Pawn...

Re: What scripting program are you using?

gvim

I can't be productive anymore with an editor that doesn't have vim keybinds/plugins
sometimes I do use pawno, but for very small edits

and it's blazingly fast, nothing can beat it imo

Re: Eclipse plugin for Pawn

Impressive, good work. I thought of doing this too (for either eclipse or intellij) but never made time for it and I use vim for pawn anyways.

Re: Error: Function not registered [HELP]

Looks like an issue with plugin loading. Make sure you have the correct versions for the streamer and sscanf plugins.

Re: IPV6 Addresses.

I tried some time ago, it didn't work. When trying to connect using an IPv6 address, it showed "attempting to connect to :7777"

You can use #define...

You can use

#define SomeMacro(%1,%0\32%2,%0\32%3) SomeFunction(%1,%2,%3)

Use %0\32 instead of a space character.
Note that the params start from %1 instead of %0 in this case

Re: Plugin in Code::Blocks

I know you asked for Code::Blocks, but you can create the project with Visual Studio and edit it with a different (lightweight) editor if you're comfortable with command line building.
To just build...

Re: Server Browser - Website [Tabs: Internet | Official | Verified]

I wonder if they asked permission to do that thought, it's against SASCNR's TOS to scrape it like that.

That launcher looks cool. I'm close to finishing mine so I might as well just finish it.

Very interesting. I'm actually working on creating a clone of the official server browser with an internet tab that actually works and it's almost ready for beta testing.
Maybe we can work together...

Re: What was your SA-MP goal as a server owner or scripter?

To provide a server/mode where players can have lots of fun playing together.
Although sadly I never seem to finish shit and I never had a decent mode.

Re: SendClientMessage before Kick

Not a bug. This is since 0.3x, probably because alot of the networking system changed. You have to use a timer. View the note and example at http://wiki.sa-mp.com/wiki/Kick
