I've tried GTA SA on an Ubuntu system with Wine. As long as you have the drivers for your graphics card installed properly, the game runs perfectly without any lag or hickups.

Only use global variables when you absolutely have to. That is, when you need to be able to access some data in a function in which you can not get to that data with the given parameters.

No, this is the code you gave:

new Text:InfoText[MAX_PLAYERS];

Text means global textdraw, PlayerText means player textdraw. You also have an array of MAX_PLAYERS, which by default is 1000....

That's because most likely you've hit the global textdraw limit (just like I've told you you would) and the script is trying to display another textdraw and not the one you just created.
