That's a company from OVH. Use the same mitigation and game rules.

An RPG, with around 900 players online, can't reach over cous its lag as fuck.

We can't do anything, this needs to be flagged for Kalcor or maybe some very intelligent plugin developer can circumvent this.

This is probably the same issue LSRP had with lag a number of years ago but nobody realised, their host must have silently upgraded the CPU.

I can confirm this, recently we have tried a server with the newest CPU on CentOS, which should have been much more powerful than our current one - but the result was the server required 25-30% of CPU than the older configuration, therefore we switched back.

The main part of the sa-mp server that handles sync/pawn scripts is single threaded.

Intel Core i7-4790K @ 4.00GHz https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php....00GHz&id=2275
Single Thread Rating: 2530
Intel Core i7-7700K @ 4.20GHz https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php....20GHz&id=2874
Single Thread Rating: 2583

There's little single threaded performance difference between these CPUs.

Figuring out problems like this are tough because there are so many variables. It could be: the linux kernel, network card, router/route, the uplink, the C/C++ runtime, the iptables configuration etc etc.

You can only figure out things like this by A/B testing. Given the CPUs have nearly identical single threaded performance, I'd say it's not the CPU.

If you can, reinstall the linux distro to ubuntu or some distro that uses the same kernel version. That would narrow it down quite a bit.

There's at least two independent cases of older gen processors performing way better than the new ones. It seems to be connected to the far higher tick rate in the newer generation CPUs, in this thread alone, it's not just one guy. I also think nobody will use Ubuntu, as the latest version of Ubuntu that doesn't have glitches for SAMP is Ubuntu 12, whereas Ubuntu 14/16 have many issues, same with Debian 8 Vs 9. I'm pretty sure all big servers use CentOS.

I7 7700k OC 5ghz, 32 gb ram ddr4, SSD m2 . After 900 players being online, lag is unbearable, what i noticed is more "Spike" like, not lag in commands, for example server goes smooth then after minute or so cpu spikes server and commands delay for 3-4 seconds (streamer lag's aswell for some larger number of objects, WHICH HAS NEVER HAPPENED ON i7 4790k even tho i reduced around 50k objects and optimized draw distance and stream distance on new cpu its still WORSE) then works fine for 10-15 minutes. I have profiler log if it helps, most functions dont reach >5% cpu, with the highest one anticheat and weapon-config.

Centos 7
Kernel: 3.10.0-957.12.2.el7.x86_64
Network interface card: Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation I210 Gigabit Network Connection (rev 03)
Uplink: The uplink speed is 1Gbps
C/C++ runtime (libstdc++): 6.0.19 containing:
GLIBCXX_3.4
GLIBCXX_3.4.1
GLIBCXX_3.4.2
GLIBCXX_3.4.3
GLIBCXX_3.4.4
GLIBCXX_3.4.5
GLIBCXX_3.4.6
GLIBCXX_3.4.7
GLIBCXX_3.4.8
GLIBCXX_3.4.9
GLIBCXX_3.4.10
GLIBCXX_3.4.11
GLIBCXX_3.4.12
GLIBCXX_3.4.13
GLIBCXX_3.4.14
GLIBCXX_3.4.15
GLIBCXX_3.4.16
GLIBCXX_3.4.17
GLIBCXX_3.4.18
GLIBCXX_3.4.19

There are approximately 115 rules of various types configured for the kernel firewall via iptables
