You could take a look at Slice's weapon-config include or Gammix's HitReg include, both are good examples how to handle damage, and both implement server sided health making it impossible for players to health hack.

It can't be made better, the whole concept is so naive which makes it obsolete, anti cheats and security in general are the hardest thing to create, people make it seem like it's much easier which it is not.

I'm very aware it is hard indeed, but what you don't see is HitReg isn't finished yet and weapon-config has a decent amount of bugs,

over 30 issues and about 7 pull requests I've also had recommendations from people saying that they had to edit it tons to get it to work a bit proper and still had bugs, there are no new releases,

it's rather sad but you gotta work with what you got. And by the looks of it the method of server-sided damage is overlooking the cheater and not detecting him, he won't be able to cheat but you won't be able to detect him still.

I never said you should use it, I mentioned that it's a good example of how to handle and process damage, hence you could implement a similar or even improved way to do it which would be way better than releasing such a naive include.

I don't get it, if I'll work with what I've got I'll definitely choose the bugged include and fix it myself rather than using something that doesn't fit what I need.

Huh, that's not exactly how i'd go but hey its your decision bud, the include still isn't naive moreover any sort of detection is better than none.

It won't return false positives with the laggers filter include and on top of all it's the initial release, so you could've suggested instead of attacking the include and calling it naive which actually does some solid roundup checks to avoid the sa bugs resulting in false detection.

Update V1.2

(HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO UPDATE TO V1.2)


Code:
- Minor code improvements.
- Spawn check added and removed immunity from OnPlayerDeath as the spawn check will do the job.
- The health and armour has been set to 99, so if a player has 100.0 health/armour, he is either cheating or desynced. 
^ NOTE: Do not kick at sight for 100.0 health, I recommend to check if the player is desycned first and make the player timeout for this if he is desynced.
 (Yes vending machines max health to be given is also set to 99 now.)

- If health isn't set on Spawn, it'll auto set to 99.0, so that variable gets set to avoid false detection of 0.0 health
