You probably have an nVidia card...

But then again, Post your computers specs here for communal knowledge...

I may try Debian later and see if that yields me better results.

It can be properly fixed by cleaning your wine profile (~/.wine/)

Then you did something wrong.

On topic: You also can launch SA:MP without using SA:MP serverbrowser this way!

Just launch GTA_SA.exe with parameters -c -n Nickname -h ServerIP -p ServerPort -z

You can create shortcuts to servers this way lol.

Defeats the purpose of the ASI loader that was why the thread was made.

As for GTA_SA.exe, It would've worked all along, but the thing is that with the older versions of wine, and prior attempts to make SA work, People gave up on the ATI cards...

nVidias should automatically work off the bat.

Having the client open, is better than having to make shortcuts for each and every server you play, and even, to the point of, You can't see if a server is populated from the desktop unless you run a webpage to monitor the server or actually blindly join and wait to see that no-one is on...

I'm installing Debian now, and will be installing the latest bits that I possibly can. Hopefully it should have decent support for my video card... Ubuntu is a bit too "click and play" for me...

Not everyone limits themselves to one or 2 servers...

And even then, Why'd you come into a thread that SOLELY is saying about the fact that SAMPs client CAN work in linux AND launch the game...

Thats what makes it easier to use in linux.
