10 years and I still learn new things to this day. You never really learn it, you just understand how it should be to work and go on from there.

Started in 2009, to this day I still learn new things.
Rather it’s how to create something new or better optimize my code.
I learned the basics rather quickly though as it really is a fairly simple language.

I never learned pawno, it's just basic of C++
I started from C++ programming and still learning.

If you think you will advance your career by learning pawno then you are wrong, learn C++ instead

I prefer Visual Studio Code it's the best code editor in my opinion, pawno is just way too outdated.

Visual Studio Code is indeed the perfect coding software, It is amazing if you have a script spread in modules.

I've joined SA-MP in nearly 2010, my intention was never coding, I just love the game and back then was something excited to see in GTA: SA. I used to play a lot of servers until I decide to make my own in 2015, I didn't know too much about coding. I started using some random game modes released on this forum. I didn't even know how to compile a script until a friend showed me in Teamviewer LOL. But yea, after that I got the basics, wiki helped me a lot and this forum has a lot of answers. After then I started making my own code until I moved to website development, if you have an SA-MP server then you would definitely need a cool website for your server. Started with randomly templates released on g00gle, got into HTML/JS, then a UCP made me go for PHP. in 2018 I found out ragemp (a GTAV multiplayer mod) that made me go with cSharp and nodeJs. I never had a server there, but it wasn't looking that hard coding when you have a clue of it. Then I learned Python by doing discord bots and watching tutorials.

If you're a quick learner, you will get to it as well. When you do something, you'd feel so happy when you realize it. That's the feeling that keeps you going to do more and more and obviously gets to know more.

It takes time from the ground up but coming from Java scripting it definitely helped. Not saying Java and Pawn scripting are the same but any experience in scripting/coding goes a very long way.
