R7 265M might be a bit stronger , but also the power consumption and heat will be higher

So i have been wanting to upgrade my pc and build a new one on my own, instead of buying a built one. And i am not that great on picking hardware. I have a decent build (Well i think its decent....maby) that i put together on pcpartpicker. You can see what i have so far here....

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/xZkFBm

And i guess i was just curious if its a good combo? Is there any way i could get more performance out of it for the same price or cheaper or a few dollars more? My goal is to stay under the $700-$750 range, but saving a bit more would be nice also. I also have a samsung ssd that i have already so i only need that one harddrive i have listed.

So any suggestions?

Hello,

Soo, I am getting a new computer soon, building it my own.. But I am really confused about what to get for the CPU; Intel or AMD...

Shall I just get a core i5 4-core.. Or one of those 8-core AMD ? In matter of performance not price.. ?

If you want a more reliable and longer lasting processor, I'd go for one of the Intel ones. Processors such as Intel i5 4440 4 cores are even capable of handling a Titan X card whereas a 4 core AMD processor couldn't do the same without a bottleneck. Pretty much if you have a high end gpu and intend to hardcore game, intel is the way however if it's for less powerful GPU's and games - I'd still get intel but AMD would be fine.

Regards

I'd say get a core i3/i5/i7, I had a AMD Anthon (something idk) laptop it didn't last 5 months.
