Unhappy Server stops responding / players can't connect

The problem is that my server all of a sudden stops responding. Chat & sync stop working and players can't connect (it gets stuck at Connecting. Joining the game...). From the SA:MP browser it looks ok, it shows players "online" (that aren't actually online) and it pings, but once you go in game you see it isn't working.

So has anyone ever encountered this? And if yes how do you fix it?

Thank you.

Your GM is most likely not loading, this could be for many reasons (number strings being to big, etc.).

I'm using this GM for over a year (no changes at all) and it worked fine until recently...

If you've not changed your GM in over a year - that could be a signal of the problem, trying to run an outdated (includes, etc) on a newer SA-MP version.

Otherwise, this could just be that you need to clean out your scriptfiles etc, just because you haven't touched your script, files your script processes could still cause damage.

It worked fine with all SA:MP / Server releases, even with the newest R5, and it still does work but it recently stoped responding at random times. As for the scriptfiles i don't know what could be the problem there, i only have 2 folders, one with 5 files and one with player accounts (which i clean out occasionally so that the folder doesn't get to big).

I have the same problem, i try to load the default GMs on a linux server, and the server browser shows that everything is okay, but when i connect it just says "failed to connect retrying"

I can connect with rcon

The plugins for your server might not be working....or your GM is outdated with SA:MP latest includes...etc. Try updating your plugins and try to see if that works..
