Default samp scripting too hard

Hello well I just came from running my own minecraft server anway my question is why do you have to know how to script to have a nice server whereas in minecraft all you need to do it download some plugins u like for example factions then put in in the plugins folder, restart the server then everything can be setup in game using commands.
Is there no such thing like craftbukkit but for samp?

Because Minecraft is a boring 8-bit game that is generally the same thing on each server (IIRC). SA:MP gives you the ability to make a server yourself, from start to finish, using GTA:SA.

I'm pretty sure you're just asking a dumb question. If you think it's too hard, then don't do it! You don't HAVE to run a SA:MP server ya' know...

no what im asking is, is there a thing like craftbukkit but for samp? which basically allows for quick easy plugin installation and allows things to work like factions, shops etc, but you can setup everything in game using command instead of having to learn how to scrip

The closest thing we have would be some filterscripts. Things like an "admin system" and a "group system", although usually filterscripts are pointless because the majority of them need extensive modification because their authors have no idea what the words "professional" and "efficient" mean.

Its not like that but here you can set-up your own server by downloading a GM from here and download some of filterscripts and add it to your folder thats it.This is what people usually do these days.

There is nothing like that in SA:MP. In my opinion you CAN'T start a good server without scripting! If you want start server that will be popular and unique then you need to learn how to script. A lot of people think that you just need to download a scripted GM, startup your server and have 100 players. That's not how it works...

You can download a basic gamemode however, as stated above you can't keep it running without scripters.

Because as RealCopy228 said, minecraft is generally the same game on every server. SA-MP and other community made multiplayer mods like JC-MP offer you scripting API which allows you to create your own faction/shop scripts etc. Don't act as a scripter and open a server if you have no idea of basic programming.

What do you think where all the MC plugins come from? They just fall from the sky?
Nope, some guys write them, and this also isnt that easy (though it also isnt that hard).

Same about samp. There are thousands of ready scripts (that someone scripted before) that you can download and put on your server. This way you might get a nice server, but barely any players, because these "download and go" servers are nothing special and people are rather bored by them. Same for minecraft by the way, downloading tons of plugins might add some nice features, but still the server would suck because its absolutely nothing special.

To create a very special server theres no way but scripting/coding stuff yourself, for both minecraft and samp.

Exactly my thought. In this case Minecraft is KINDA like SA-MP. Only here these "plugins you simply download to make an own Minecraft server" are the gamemodes, filterscripts and plugins that are all around the forums. If you want to make an SA-MP server entirely your own, you'd have to code everything yourself - just like you'd have to in Minecraft.
