Default [0.3a]Crashing on load, around 80%

A FIX CAN BE FOUND IN: http://forum.sa-mp.com/showthread.php?t=103182

Hi, just making a topic so we can get more information regarding this bug.

It was a known bug since RC8, yet it wasn't addressed and 0.3a was released anyway, despite a chunk of users getting this critical bug where the game crashes on load at around 80% (before you get the server connection screen, so it's a client-side issue for sure). Tested on a clean install, where 0.2x works.

Here are some other topics:

Copy paste the following and post some info please, whether you crash or not:

Code:
OS (Version of Windows 7):
CPU (32 or 64 bit important here):
Amount of RAM:
GTA SA install dir:
Clean install of GTA or not:
Does 0.2x work:
Does 0.3a work:
So, i'll fill one out:

OS (Version of Windows 7): Windows 7 Ultimate
CPU (32 or 64 bit important here): Intel Core Duo (32 bit)
Amount of RAM: 2GB
GTA SA install dir: F:\Games\Installs\GTA San Andreas (External hard drive)
Clean install of GTA or not: Clean install
Does 0.2x work: Yes
Does 0.3a work: No, crash on load

Hopefully we can narrow down when the bug happens this way and pass the information on to Kye.

Edit: If you could post your entire crash log also it'd help. Thanks.

To the startposter - the CPU has nothing to do whether its an 32bit or 64bit application. Core 2 Duo CPUs are all 64bit CPUs, like all other halfway up2date CPUs (besides Intel Atom, lol).

More interesting is whether your operating system is 32bit or 64bit.

PS: My Vista HP x64 still causes crashing while pressing ESC. (not as often as in 0.2X, but still sometimes)

Added another option so those with a working copy of Windows 7 can post their details too.

I only have one account on my Win7 machine, and that's Administrator. I have disabled UAC (was it enabled in the first place?), and I have successfully ran 0.2.X for months. I even managed to run RC1, 2, 3 and 4 before getting my new laptop, so I have no idea where/which beta it borked on.

CPU (32 or 64 bit important here): Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400
Amount of RAM: 3071 MB
GTA SA install dir: D:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas
Clean install of GTA or not: Clean
Does 0.2x work: Yes
Does 0.3a work: Yes

Laptop:
OS (Version of Windows 7): Windows 7 RC build 7100 (x64)
CPU (32 or 64 bit important here): Genuine Intel(R) CPU 585
Amount of RAM: 2048 MB
GTA SA install dir: C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas

It seems to not be working for people with the 32bit version.

Running as administrator has no effect, neither does any sort of compatibility mode / disabling visual styles.

All of that has been tested, so please don't come here saying that. It's definitely an issue with SA-MP and we are gathering information to help Kye fix the bug.
