I personally prefer using C# over C++ for everything. But I think in the end it comes down to personal preference. The actual languages themselves have subtle differences in the way they are coded

I beg to differ. But that's probably because we only use Java on the server side; the stack trace always references the compiled servlet and not the actual jsp.

Don't use Java for client apps. Be it a standalone program or a web applet. Java is notorious for being vulnerable.

I think you must choose C++. I don't recommend Java...
