ive had some scripts where i didnt even bother with an admin system, just used rcon.

But for my RP gamemode, I have Starter Admin, which is basically a trial period to get used to it all, General Admin, which would be most admins and Lead admin for management/owners. Seems to be fine

Level 1 - Helper. Literally is only a title, no extra commands. With players knowing they can achieve this rank it means they might try help other players in the server with questions or help real admins find cheaters.

Level 2 - Moderator. Can /jail, /kick, /spec. That's all.

Level 3 - Supervisor. L2 + /ban

Level 4 - Administrator. L2/3 + Player stats altering/resetting, /unban, /rangeban, few extras.

I hate any type of command that can give admins benefits over other players. /giveweapon, /givecash type of commands shouldn't ever be given to anyone except yourself or really trusted people that you actually know. It prevents any admins from abusing commands, which I've had to put up with before many times on other servers. Moderator/Admin status is a privilege, not ever to be used for fun IMO.

Moderator (Level 1) - Can see commands, /jailed, /muted, /spec, /warn, /kick and other extra commands, that's it.

Administrator (Level 2) - Can /ban, /rban, /jail, /mute, /announce, /announce2, /kick, etc..

Senior Administrator (Level 3) - Can make events, and other important commands, like /amenu.

Co-Owner or Management (Level 4) - Can make vips, can make clans, and other shits. Can give coins, money etc...

Owner or Founder (Level 5) - Everything, simple & short.

In my opinion, don't put shitty prefix before the levels, i.e 'Lead', 'Main', 'Super etc... It really looks shitty, only 5 levels are enough, instead of having 10-11 levels, without any power centralization, which is perfect in 5 levels.

Moderator || Commands|| - /warn /jail /mute /unmute /announce
Admin || Commands || - All the moderator commands & /ban & /unban
Owner || Commands|| - Everything and maybe some commands for the events else.
This is the real and serious admin system, these commands will make the admin do his job instead of playing with the admin commands.

in my opinion!

I had recently been thinking about doing a structure much like a forum handles it. Each user can then have completely different permissions and you don't really need any 'levels' at all. For example, in Invision Power Board you can change access permissions for the ACP on a per-group or per-user basis and the permissions can be set on a per-module basis (e.g. Look and Feel) but also on a per-setting basis (e.g. 'Can edit members?', 'Can edit ADMINS?');

I've really never understood why people use a 'helper' level in their hierarchy. It basically gives you nothing and just frustrates players. There is no reason why you can't help players with issues they have or help 'real' admins searching for hackers and rule breakers in general as a normal player.

It essentially is the same thing as using air conditioning in a convertible car with the roof off.
