Default Respuesta: Hash Plugin [PBKDF2, CSPRNG, SHA, Whirlpool, RIPEMD, Checksums and more]

I use ******' Whirlpool plugin to encrypt my users' passwords, isn't that secure enough?

Hi, just one question:
I am interested in the checksums portion of this plugin, but what files do the checksum natives access and what is the working directory for them?

In other words, what is native sha512sum("file.txt", sum); going to read?

(Server root)/file.txt ?
(Server root)/scriptfiles/file.txt ?

If the latter, is it possible to access files outside the "scriptfiles" folder with this plugin? Perhaps with "../file.txt"?

The directory it will read from is relative to the directory the samp server executable was started from. But you can also specify absolute paths to any file.
Yes, you can generate a checksum from any file on your system as long as the user running the server executable has access to it.

Just wondering, why not simply use bcrypt plugin? It seems a far better algorithm and way easier though I'm not sure how it compares to PBKDF2 though if i recall correctly its in the same league.
